Antacids neutralize the acids that are making your stomach a boiling cauldron.
There are four basic types of neutralizing ingredients in antacid products. Sodium Bicarbonate. This type is not for those on low-salt diet.
Calcium Carbonate. It’s considered effective, economical and safe.
Magnesium Hydroxide.
Aluminum Hydroxide. The aluminum ingredient is not considered risky, but may cause constipation.
If gas reducers work for you, feel free to use them.
Liquid antacids work faster than tablets, and both work better on a full stomach.
