Beer

Beer, a fermented beverage is often called “liquid food” because not only does it have water but also barley (cereal grains), hops and yeast. In ancient times, monks drank beer during fasting periods to get nutrition to sustain them through the fasts.

Whisky keeps the cold out, soothes the weary traveler and even acts as an antiseptic.

Wine

Wine is made from fermented grapes. Wine is either red or white. Natural wine has about 10% alcohol and is often consumed with food. Champagne is a sparkling wine. Fortified wines such as port, sherry, bitters have about 20% alcohol and some of them may be had with a dessert due to their sweet flavor.

Wine is known to be a beverage that is not only tasty but also healthy. Wine, especially red wine, has powerful antioxidants which are very good for health and are known to slow aging.

Soda increases acidity so plain water or juice is a better option with a drink.
Smoking while you drink is very bad for your health.
Don’t mix drinks.
If you have a bad hangover, try banana milkshake with honey. Drink plenty of water and have several small meals until you get over your hangover.
Avoid drinking and driving.
